VR-24 Det Rota Shipmates Reunion

21 – 24 May 2009 – Duluth, MN

 Beunas Todos,

    As discussed at the Denver ’03 and Rota ’06 reunions, the next reunion will be in Duluth, MN. The tentative dates for the reunion are 21 – 24 May 2009. A block of rooms at “The Suites” at Water Front Plaza in Canal Park have been reserved for the group. Ed & Jean Keogh’s e-mail of 2 July, 2007 provided the following: 

The dates of the reunion are Thursday May 21st  - Sunday May 24th 2009.

 

The Suites offered the best price in this tourist attraction area.  They also will provide a Hospitality Room at no charge.

 

Here is the information I received:

 

The Suites is Duluth’s only “true” ALL-SUITE HOTEL.  Each of our 136 suites feature fully functional kitchens with full size appliances, 27 inch televisions and a warm, inviting atmosphere.  An exercise room, pool, sauna, whirlpool and children’s pool are also located within the facility.  We offer a complimentary full hot breakfast each morning for all our guests.

 

Please have your group members express they are with VR-24 REUNION when making their reservations (phone #218-727-4663 or 877-766-2665).  We will hold the block of rooms until April 21, 2009 before releasing any rooms not reserved.  If, however anyone in your group needs a room after that date, and if we still have availability, we will still put the reservation under the group at the special group rate.

 

The rates are as follows:

 

5 Studio Queen/King Suites at $85.00 plus tax per night

15 Studio King Suites at $90.00 plus tax per night

5 Studio Double Suites at $99.00 plus tax per night

 

There is a 13% sales tax added to each suite rate

 

Rates include a free full hot breakfast buffet for each person per room per night

Individuals responsible for own reservations and payments

Check in time 4pm/ Check out time 12 noon.  Additional charges for late check out will be applied.

Unused rooms will be released on April 21, 2009
